Rendezvous Restaurants, Bangalore.

Project details- RRPL

Integrated Services on July 28th, 2009 No Comments

CLIENT :  RENDEZVOUS RESTAURANTS PVT LTD.

INDUSTRY :  HOTELS & RESTAURANTS.

Rendezvous Restaurants Private Limited is among the top 20 restaurant chains in India. 100ft, Bayleaf and F & B, or Friends & Bacchus as it is popularly known, are the three brands owned by RRPL, in Bangalore.
100ft is a Boutique Restaurant, Bayleaf serves Indian cuisine, Friends & Bacchus has an all-day-dining Restaurant, a Bar, a Patisserie and a Jacket Room under one roof. These four distinct identities under F&B and two other diverse food service entities, 100ft and Bayleaf had to be brought together online, seamless yet well-defined, together yet apart. That, was the challenge before  *conditionsapply.

WHAT THEY NEEDED.

Rendezvous Restaurants Pvt Ltd  wanted conditionsapply to ‘find the perfect balance between art and functionality’ and bring together their six different restaurants, unified in design, yet distinct in its ‘feel.’ Though we are advocates of  websites being attractive and visually interesting, this on first look felt like a insurmountable design challenge, and more like a design disaster. Above all, it also had to incorporate the business vision and the corporate ethos prominently along with all outlets, as an online bookmark and mnemonic for an entity that that makes great restaurants. Unlike its peers that serve as  ‘online blackboards spewing outdated information after a while,’ RRPL wanted it to be on the forefront of product information, capable of gauging feedback on that easily and above all, build a community of its patrons around this online business house.

WHAT WE OFFERED.

*conditionsapply went back to drawing board with turning around this design challenge into classic chic with pages  that found the perfect balance between the key articles of ‘art and functionality.’ The domain was designed to  lead the user to a common foyer interface from where you could enter whichever  restaurant you wanted to, explore, tour and be inspired to come back for more, again. *conditionsapply also suggested easy feedback pages for each outlets that also displayed prominently at all times, reminding the casual visitor about the true worth of the service and food.

WHAT WE DELIVERED.

*conditionsapply delivered a state-of-the-art restaurant website for RRPL. Right from the landing page to the individual pages for the outlets, there was a color palette that served as the unifying theme, which were in turn picked from the individual brand logos. It was twice the brand reinforcement to the casual visitor and the regular patron at www.rrpl.in. The elements of the parent organization were seamlessly laid out along with the totally interactive restaurant pages. It also meant using Whitehat and industry leading coding techniques, integrating the best systems to make www.rrpl.in structure scalable, SEO friendly and distinctly new-age. As with any other website developed by conditionsapply, content was created after careful research and usage of keywords.

This also helped enrich the site and help it become one of the most sought after entities online in the Local Business Directories, for food and fine dining.

Wedding Bells online

Project details- Wedding Site

CLIENT :  RAMESH BALASUNDARAM.

CATEGORY :  WEDDING SITE .

There are websites and then there are wedsites. And among the latter, the available options in India leave you with the usual “would-you-kindly-pick-from-the-five-given-templates-and-we-will-customise-it-for-you” routine, which was the last thing Mr.Ramesh Balasundaram  wanted for the most important event in his life – his wedding with Binu. For him, www.rameshbinu.com was to be one his cherished bookmarks of a New Journey – a celebration of  events that were unique, lively and wonderful – a true reflection of their commitment and love.

WHAT HE NEEDED.

Mr.Balasundaram wanted an online place that would simultaneously be the complete source of information about the Event – a celebration of their coming together and the two families, aesthetically elegant and pleasing, and most importantly, totally interactive to the huge fraternity of well-wishers who wanted to express their love and well-wishes to the betrothed couple. The site also had to be easily navigable, and in the end be simply ‘exquisite, stately and stylish.’

WHAT WE DELIVERED.

The entire layout was designed keeping the ‘sanctity’ of the requirement in mind. Along with the main navigational tools that displayed clarity and purpose, there was a ‘Testimonials’ section, where one could leave messages and well-wishes  and an exhaustive  Photo Gallery. We also included the chosen vendors in a section who extended their expertise and services for the Wedding, a rarity that spoke volumes of the care and detail that went into planning this ‘cherished bookmark for a new beginning’ in the lives of Mr.Ramesh Balasundaram and Ms.Binu Verma.

Professional Cleaning Services, Bangalore

Project details- XKare

Integrated Services on June 1st, 2009 1 Comment

CLIENT :  XKARE

INDUSTRY :  PROFESSIONAL CLEANING SERVICES.

XKare is one of the most successful privately owned professional cleaning companies in Bangalore. They have a unique combination of personalized attention and  organizational strength that makes them the front-runners in the business of Professional Cleaning Services. They were also very clear in what they wanted from their online presence, through *conditionsapply.

WHAT THEY NEEDED.

XKare  approached *conditionsapply to create a website that conveyed everything about them without resorting to the conventional props and gimmicks employed by their peers online on their websites. The end result of these gimmicks, sadly common to all of them was equivalent to an online illustration of a ‘hurricane in a cornfield’ in all its glory. XKare needed to exude ‘freshness’ from every pixel, the feeling of squeaky cleanliness and a robust team that is standing by to give you that experience. The site also had to establish their vast  range of services like residential cleaning, commercial cleaning, spring cleaning, post construction services etc in an easy-to-locate fashion, a snazzy and smart showcase of their expertise that would instantly give the prospective client a “call to action” for the services of XKare.

WHAT WE OFFERED.

*conditionsapply proposed a  style that reflected the ‘clean’ nature of XKare, with every page that gave equal focus on bringing effective solutions for clients. A clean and user-friendly interface was designed effectively stating the main aspects of XKare’s business. In keeping with the *conditionsapply style of brevity and clarity, we set to work. Rather than being the snazziest  and presumably the gaudiest one in the business in terms of visual gimmickry, a stark and simple layout that rendered the navigation across the site a breeze was the main aspect that kept the design in perspective.

WHAT WE DELIVERED.

We managed to capture the ‘freshness’ and ‘sparkle ‘ in a deceptively simple design that is pleasing to the eyes and the browser, navigation that sliced through like warm knife in butter, and also gave a blogging option where XKare  actually gave away free tips and tricks on Office Cleaning and HomeImprovement on a regular basis. We used White hat and industry leading coding techniques, mobilized the power of tried and tested OpenSource Systems to make the structure of XKare.

By using effective SEO techniques in coding and content, we made a website that will work for them rather than just throw information at the prospective client. Content was created after careful research and usage of keywords which also enriched the site and made it a powerful frontrunner in the online marketplace for Cleaning Services.

Fine Dining Place in Bengaluru.

Project details – GTC

Integrated Services, Online Solutions. on May 18th, 2009 No Comments

CLIENT :  Friends and Bacchus (a part of Rendezvous Restaurants Private Limited)

INDUSTRY :  HOTELS & RESTAURANTS.

Rendezvous Restaurants Private Limited which is among the top 20 restaurant chains in India, has 6 properties in Bengaluru under the brands 100ft, Bayleaf and F & B, (Friends & Bacchus as it is popularly known), which in turn houses the 4 diverse properties. Under a new marketing and consolidation strategy adopted by them, they wanted the earlier RRPL online property to be made into its brands as separate entities – each with its own identity and domain. This essentially meant having 6 online properties for their properties, each becoming a promotional and interactive domain on its own across online social communities and patronage.

WHAT THEY NEEDED.

Global Tree Cafe was asked to be designed based on a referral site and a navigational structure which were to be as faithful to the referral one as possible. Global Tree Cafe at Friends and Bacchus was conceptualised as ” A Place of  Art, Culture, Literature and Photography, amidst the finest culinary selections across three genres – Indian, Pan Asian and European makes Global Tree Cafe, making it the most comprehensive entertainment and dining space in Bangalore.” This aspect had to come across through the pages and the homepage of the online presence of the restaurant.

WHAT WE DELIVERED.

Even as we adhered to the referral site in terms of navigational structure, taxonomy and design elements, we were able to strike a fine balance in terms of giving it a distinctive ‘virtual  flavor’ of everything that the new cafe stood for, which in a way made up forthe restricted taxonomy and  enhanced the effect of of the design.

So,you need a website ?

Blog on March 5th, 2009 No Comments

So, what comes after you have decided to have a website for your business? Most of the time, we have seen people trying to make a kaleidoscope, rather than a website. There are plenty of kaleidoscopic websites out there which does not pay any heed to usability, search engine optimization, user interface, user flow etc. To make things worse, there are service providers who offer sites for as cheap as Rs 2000 ( $40), including domain registration, hosting and designing. WOW!! Now, THAT is a tempting, one of a kind offer! Right? WRONG. Read more »

That’s what people think about having an online presence, when they have just started or are visualizing about starting a business. In a world where monopoly is no more a possibility, and services and products are mere commodities, its surprising why only a few business owners have realized the true power of the World Wide Web. Majority of the businesses have resorted to mass text message and e-mailer blasts assuming that is optimum utilization of technology. Read more »
